The Pearl Police Department issued the following statement.

Pearl Police have added additional charges against Keith Lamar Reeder, 46, from Brandon, for a home invasion that occurred Saturday, May 16, at the Pearlwood Apartments.

Reeder is now charged with:
  • Home invasion
  • Aggravated assault with a weapon
  • 3 counts of kidnapping
  • Armed robbery
  • Rape (assault with attempt to ravish)
  • 4 counts of sexual battery
  • 2 counts of child abuse
  • Gratification of lust
Reeder is being held without bond at the Rankin Co. Detention Center.
Details of the incident:
At 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 16, Pearl Police received a 911 call from a 54-year-old female homeowner saying that a man forced his way into her home, beat and tied her up in a bedroom of the house. Her grandchildren, two young girls, were also in the home. The man is accused of tying up the young girls and sexually assaulting them. The homeowner was able to free her hands and while on the phone with 911, the man came into the room, seeing she was on the phone beat her severely again.
Officers arrived within two minutes of the 911 call and made forced entry to the home. The girls told them the man went up into the attic. Officers went up in the attic where they found the man, naked.  The man fought with an officer and he and the officer fell through the ceiling.
The homeowner was hospitalized with serious injuries. The girls were checked out and released.

Right now there is no immediate connection between Reeder and the victims but detectives are investigating any potential relationship.
