Mid-morning, September 4, 2022, Patti Sue Walker, 76, slipped into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, following a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure and lung disease. Patti was born on February 3, 1946, to the late Clifton James and Will Agnes (Beall) Pickett of Wesson, MS.

Patti spent her elementary and high school years in Clinton, graduating from Clinton High School where she was a majorette. She continued her education at Hinds Community College.

Patti enjoyed family and friends, spending weekends with her grandsons and the rural life along James Berry Road. She also enjoyed cooking, Sudoku puzzles, reading her Bible and watching college football.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ishee (Brad) and Becky Harrison (Robert); three grandchildren, Braden Walker Ishee, Christopher Bryce Ishee and John Walker Phillips; and her sister, Marie Thornton of Clinton, along with two sisters-in-law, Kay Walker Vince from Prentiss and Janice Vince Walker from Sandy Hook.

Patti is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, James “Jimmy” Franklin Walker; her mother and father, Will Agnes Pickett and Clifton James Pickett.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jay Westbrooks officiating.

Pallbearers are Brad Ishee, Braden Ishee, Bryce Ishee, Jay Phillips, Walker Phillips and Larry Williamson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 207 Church Road, Magee, MS 39111.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”. Matthew 11:28-30.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. 2 Timothy 4:7
