Patsy Herrington passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Lakeview Place Assisted Living. She was born on July 31, 1931, to Claude and Sadie (Grubbs) Herrington.
She was a lifelong resident of Magee and a member of Goodwater Baptist Church where she loved her time working as a nursery worker at the church for many years. She loved her family and friends, was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. To the pleasure of many, she delighted in baking them cookies.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Robert Herrington. She is survived by her brother, Bobby Herrington; nephew, Charles Herrington (Susan); niece, Leigh Lawrence (Paul) and great niece and nephew, Seth and Haley Lawrence.
Visitation will be held at Goodwater Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with service to begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Goodwater Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation be made to Goodwater Baptist Church in her memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
