It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Patsy Gassett Clark, who departed this life on Tuesday, December 2024, at the age of 88.
She was born to Otis and Violet Gassett on November 30, 1936, in Ochlocknee, GA. Mrs. Clark was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved nature, flowers, and gardening and was awarded Yard of the Month for her efforts. She also enjoyed collecting Norman Rockwell plates, ceramic teapots, and McCarty Pottery. She enjoyed traveling with her church family and especially looked forward to her yearly beach trips with her family.
She spent many hours on her porch. She loved bird watching and identifying birds. She was especially fond of red birds.
After twenty years of service, she retired from Boswell Regional Center in Sanatorium, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Wesley Clark; her parents; brother, Alton Gassett; sisters, Mary Gardner and Francis Idol.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Coleman (Don), Sherry Gaskin (Keith); sons, Wade Clark (Patty) and Mark Clark (Sarabeth); sister, Barbara Wilson; grandchildren, Wesley Gaskin (Amy), Tori Bowman (Brent), Brittany Rushing (Will), Cade Clark (Sadie), Marlee Hale (Chizum), Will Crook, Kaddie Clark, Loyd Clark, James Clark; great-grandchildren; Will Rushing, Clarke Rushing, Weston Bowman, Sawyer Bowman, Bella Gaskin, Lily Gaskin, Katie Gaskin, Kamp Gaskin, Knox Gaskin, Zane Hale, Hali Hale, Quincy Clark; sister-in-law, Irma Gassett, and many nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Mendenhall City Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow with Brother Chuck Morgan officiating.
