Patrick Jay McGuffin
(January 6, 1963 – November 20, 2017)

Patrick Jay McGuffin passed from this life on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Jaquith Nursing Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at the Magee City Cemetery.
Patrick was born January 06, 1963 to William Lee McGuffin and Marceline McKnight McGuffin in Dearborn, Michigan. He was a very special child who loved music and movies, but he especially loved his family. He moved to Mississippi as a teenager and embraced country living, his numerous pets, wonderful neighbors and great food. Pat enjoyed his friends at Boswell Regional Center in Magee and participated in Special Olympics as a young man. He was so proud when he gained independent living skills and received his own apartment and a part-time job.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, William Lee McGuffin; his sister, Terriel Wilhelm and brother, Timothy McGuffin. He is survived by his mother, Marceline McGuffin; his brother, Daryl McGuffin and sister-in-law Lena, his niece, Shannon McGuffin and nephew, Ray McGuffin – all of Florence, MS. He is also survived by his nephew Craig Wilhelm and wife Rachael of Mancelona, MI and his nephew Steven Wilhelm and wife Kara of Traverse City, MI.

“Therefore, if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.” 2 Cor 5:17
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to Mississippi State Hospital Volunteer Services or the Mustard Seed
