Parker Strong” was the battle cry in Magee, MS Friday afternoon, January 26th. Parker Pierce who was diagnosed with leukemia several months ago is a member of the Simpson County Cardinal Baseball team. The team is composed of 3 age groups, 7U, 9U, & 11U.

By now, many of you have seen the videos from Parker’s teammates cutting their hair (shaving their heads). Parker has lost all his hair. The team wanted Parker to know how much they care…so the blades were buzzing Friday at Lavell’s Barber Shop.

I was on hand for the guys getting their hair cut and going to Parker’s house for the revel. Plans were for Parker to come on the porch and wave to his friends. He actually got to mingle with his teammates!

During this time, I visited with Judy and Charlie Prince, Parker’s grandparents. Both Judy and Charlie expressed over and over how much these guys mean to Parker. How the boys have not forgotten their grandson. A bunch of tears were exchanged among us Friday night.

The video I am attaching is a little long but so worth the watch.

Continued prayers for Parker…and a big thank you to the Simpson County Cardinals for stepping up to the plate for their friend.
