The Burger King is moving on up!  Hopefully, the business will open near the first of December.

The gates to McNair Springs which the Career and Tech Center built, are to be hung on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

The Recycling bin located near the old YMCA building is no longer in use for cardboard boxes or any material.  Do not put anything in that bin!

Magee will be hosting another Baseball tournament this weekend.  Between 16-20 teams are scheduled to participate.

The City of Magee league soccer game is moved from Tuesday to Thursday night due to the weather.

Our new “paid for” firetruck is scheduled for delivery in a few weeks!  The life on this truck is 30 years!

Did you realize that all the alcohol that is sold in liquor stores or restaurants in Mississippi comes from the ABC in Gluckstadt, MS!  (No shopping around!)

Several people have asked me when could we possibly see a liquor store in Magee.  If everything works in a timely manner, and the person is approved by the city in December…there is a possibility we could have a liquor store by the end of December….but again, that is based on ABC moving along with liquor license and the person applying getting all their paperwork done in a timely manner as well as the building ready and expected…so, sorry, I can’t give you a definite answer!

The City of Magee may be in charge of beer…but ABC says they are in charge of liquor!  Our Privilege License will hold the key to restrictions within the city.
