The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1 Timothy 6:7: “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.” This is a lesson in the futility of amassing a vast fortune with the thought of taking it with us when we leave this mortal existence. If we are able to build an estate of note, we’d best distribute it among the less fortunate. God will honor your munificence. To have monuments erected in our name for self-recognition is not of any lasting value. Only what’s done in Christ’s name will be remembered by Him. So, cast aside selfish ambition and help others with our time and money. God will honor that, and great will be His favor. Amen!
