Saturday, February 6, 2016, was a beautiful afternoon to start off the 2016 baseball season. The Trojan Baseball team hosted the Alumni in a fun scrimmage/practice game.

The Alumni did not let age become a factor in Saturday’s game and showed they still had what it took to play ball. Brooks Fortenberry took the mound first for the Alumni. He is still able to smoke the ball across the plate. Catlin McKennedy and Franklin Hayes also pitched for the Alumni. Hunter Cockrell was the catcher and he proved age would not prevent him from going after the ball. The boys showed they still had what it took to make contact with the ball and bat as well.

For the Trojans, the fans would get a sneak peak of what is to come this Spring. Hitting the mound first was Demetrius Gray followed by Aimon Chislom  and Timon Kennedy. The boys looked good fielding and hitting as well. This year looks to be promising for the Trojans. There are a couple of young players who will likely play key positions this year.

This game allowed Coach Eubanks to see just what his team could do and what areas that will need work. Both the Trojans and Alumni had a great day of fun.

Coach Eubanks displayed the uniforms for this season.

Season starts officially at the end of this month. Come out and support the Trojans!!
