The first box arrived at the Simpson County Courthouse at 7:15….and they just kept on coming…faster and faster.

The unofficial totals:
District 1 Democrat-G. Mitchell Chapman-252
And Curtis Skiffer-265. Although the absentee ballots had not been counted, there were only 5 absentee ballots which was not enough to make a change in the outcome of their race…Curtis Skiffer was declared the winner.

District 2 Republican:- Danny Craft-404 and Larry Walker-325. Danny Craft was declared the unofficial winner.

In the Southern Public Service Commissioner:
Sam Britton-613 and Terry Smith-753
Today’s race cost the taxpayers $26,000!!! The turn out was pitiful! On MageeNews.com face book page is a break down of each box …check it out…you can see the number of registered voters per box and the number who voted…just saying.

Now, we are on to November…so here we go again…God Bless America and God Bless the Voters
