Norma Jane Robin

( August 12, 1935 – April 16, 2021 )

  Norma Jane Robin, 85, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away Friday, April 16th 2021 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Monday, August 12, 1935.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM at the cemetery on Sunday. Bro Tim McNeil will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564

She was an avid cook, homemaker, and gardener. Her favorite pastime was baking, preserving jams, jellies, and vegetables for others and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Ike Parker; second husband, Hervin “Pete” Robin; parents, Luther and Sarah Trest; brother, Prentiss Trest; sister, Estelle Norris.

Survivors include her children,  Janet Bartran (Steve), Jeanette Davis (Tommy), Janet Bartran, Joe Kenneth Parker (Joan), Matilda Dupont (Gene),Sadie Dupont (Randall), Lenon “DoJohn” Parker (Donna), and Judy Hosey (Guy); and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers, Jimmy Trest (Maxine) and Glen Trest (Susan); sisters, Doris Ishee and Patsy Dickard (Larry).

Pallbearers will be Scott Bartran, Jason Bartran, Andrew Bartran, Stacy Green, Chris Parker, Kenneth Parker, John Dupont, David Dupont, Luke Dupont, Marc Dupont, and Derek Hosey. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerrod West.
