The Awestruck Community Theatre (ACT) presented “School for Nerds” Friday night at 7 in the historical Magee Community Center.
From the beginning to the end, the crowd was entertained by a dynamite group of teenagers! These kids kept the crowd laughing! The play was very entertaining and a play no one should miss!
Performances will take place Saturday at 1 & 6…be there…or be square!
The “jocks” are running the school…but really, only running the ball field…the “nerds” arrive …much to the horror of the jocks…but realizing that working together could save the school they love!
Our teens need our support…they need to see the importance of the arts by seeing your smiling face in the audience! The adults work with this group with no financial compensation. The ACT is self-sufficient and they basically finance their own operation.
Directors of the play are Julie Jones and Tracey Crawford. Laurel Crawford in the Assistant Director. Lighting and Sound is taken care of by Ronnie Jones and Aubrey Russell. Charles Chapin is in charge of Stage Design. Larry Munn handle the large stage lights.
Cast of the play: Katira Banks, Timothy Boone, Lexi Wood, Matthew Snellgrove, Hunter May, Maliek Daniels, Kathryn Chapin, Montana Grubbs, Jamaica Williams, Katelyn Gross, Troy Brock, Lexi Knighten, Gillian Jinkins, Brooklyn Herrington, Julia Davis, M’Kayla Granderson, Mattie Roberts, and Carrigan Prine
