Some of the traditions are listed below.

New Year’s Kiss – “On New Year’s Eve, kiss the person you hope to keep kissing” all year.
Choose the color of your under ware to wear – Red for romance, yellow for luck, and white for peace.
Open the door at midnight – Open the door at midnight to let the old year out and new one in.
Eat black eyed peas, cabbage (Greens), and hogs jowl. – Eating black eyed peas and hogs jowl will bring good luck and health, cabbage and greens will bring money.
Make New Year’s Resolutions – Goals set to accomplish through the year.
Fill your cabinets – For abundance in the new year, fill your pockets and cabinets today.
Do not wash clothes -if you wash clothes on New Year’s Day, you’ll be “washing for the dead” or washing a loved one away
