New Traffic Laws take affect July 1st.

July 1st new traffic laws go into affect be prepared before the holiday weekend.

The new laws affects drivers and passengers as well.

According to Corporal Eric Henry, MS Hwy Patrol, Troop C Public Affairs “If you’re in a vehicle and don’t have on a seat belt and you’re not restrained, the driver can be cited for his passengers not wearing a seat belt.

No one is  allowed to travel in back of pickup trucks and will be sited if caught breaking law.

The last law being enforced states if you are traveling in the left lane you must be either passing a vehicle or making a left lane turn.

The fine for the new laws are $25.00.

Do not forget this holiday weekend with the roads being heavily traveled to Click it or Ticket it.
