The firework show at the sportsplex 4th of July was a success. Mayor Berry complimented Asst Chief Chris Jones on the job the officers did with traffic control.

Mayor Berry applauded the city works on the great job repairing the leak at the Waffle House earlier in the week. The lines have been cleaned out at the Lagoon hopefully helping with the flow of waste and overflowing of the manholes.

The board voted to terminate the agreement the city has with Unemployment Solutions, LLC for payroll.

Five Candidates applied for the position of Police Chief. All applicants will be interviewed. According to Mayor Berry, in person interviews will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Mayor Berry has expressed his desire to have a new Police Chief in place by July 19, 2021.
