The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 Peter 3:16: “Do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.” The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God! Here, the New Testament writer is telling his audience never to be ashamed to witness and proclaim the Gospel. It is sound, unchanging, and infallible. If we are ridiculed or made fun of for doing so, we should not falter or lose heart. In time, God will reward those who have kept the faith and did not waiver. Likewise, the tongues of the naysayers will be silenced for all time. Therefore, let us proudly proclaim Jesus and the Word of God to all mankind. Amen!
