Nettie Earl Kennedy, 78 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Monday, June 25, 1945 in Prentiss, Mississippi.

  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 09, 2024 at 12:30 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. Frank Harmon will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener who loved to spend time with family and friends. After 55 years of marriage she is now reunited with her loving husband Kenneth.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Kennedy; daughter, Lisa Kennedy Crosby Amundson; parents, Carl and Verna Mae Myers; sister, Faye Cox.

  Survivors include her son, James (Ken) K Kennedy (Anna) of Pearl, MS;  daughter, Teresa  L Bynum  (Roy) of Mendenhall, MS;  grandchildren, Kecia  Crosby, Hayden  Amundson, Kaitlyn  Amundson, Hannah Bynum Nelsen  (Payton ), Haley  Bynum, Garrett  Kennedy, Matthew  Shelton and Cara  Shelton;  brother, Charles  Myers  (Carolyn).
