Myles Davis Martin, a senior at Puckett High School, has been awarded the prestigious Luckyday Scholarship from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Martin, a member of the Class of 2026, will graduate on May 11 and plans to attend Southern Miss this fall.

During his time at Puckett High School, Martin has been highly active both academically and in extracurricular activities. He was a key member of the varsity baseball team, where he played second base, catcher, and also pitched when needed. In addition to athletics, he served as student body president for his graduating class.

Martin demonstrated strong leadership across campus, serving as president of the Beta Club and as a member of the leadership team for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His academic achievements include recognition in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, designation as a Mississippi Scholar, Honor Roll honors, and ACT awards.

Known for his commitment to serving others, Martin received the Service Award at Puckett High School and was voted “Most Service Oriented” by the administration.

He is the son of Jeremy and Keri Martin and Brooke and Jamie McInnis.

Grandparents include Patti Martin (late Billy Martin), Bobby Allen (late Gloria Allen), and Robert and Debbie Norwood.

Martin’s siblings include Katie Grace and Zach Hodges, Karoline and Sam Smith, Hayden McInnis, Carson McInnis, Chase Martin, and Logan Martin.
