The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in John 10:27-29: “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them our of My Father’s hand.” The Words of Jesus are here imparted to the followers of Jesus to let them know that He is the Good Shepherd, the Gentle Shepherd; we are the sheep and as such are totally within His care and keeping. If we stray or wander off, He searches for us, brings us back, chastises us for our erring ways, then wraps us in His loving arms and forgives us. No power can snatch us from Him. What a friend we have in Jesus, indeed! Let us keep our eyes focused on Him and thank Him often for His marvelous gift of salvation. Amen!
