April 10, 2020 COVID-19 Update

We at the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency wish to keep you as informed as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. Monday-Friday by noon, we will send you an update regarding Personal Protective Gear purchases, shipment information and where the supplies are going. Also, there will be a link to FAQ that we receive. That portion of our website is updated when necessary. This information is for your situational awareness. We encourage you to read the documents in their entirety.

  • Patient Gown (washable) – 1,000
  • Trailer Monitoring Messaging Signs (MEMA warehouse) – 6

 

Where those items will be delivered:

  • As soon as items are received, they’re delivered to areas on the Tier I and Tier III systems.
    • TIER I Facility – a hospital/long-term care facility actively treating a COVID-positive patient
    • TIER III – Quarantine/Isolation Facilities run by other jurisdictions, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, other healthcare facilities, outpatient facilities, EMS and emergency managers.

Facilities are allowed to order their own supplies, they do not have to request supplies through MEMA.

If you have a business that would like to help in the COVID-19 fight and assist in other disasters in the future, they can register with MEMA at MSBEOC.org.
