JACKSON, MS – Warren Strain with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety says all driver’s license stations in the state of Mississippi will be closed on a regional basis starting Wednesday.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety has not released information on how long the stations will be closed at this time. An official release says the closures are due to “changes to state driver’s licenses laws and required training on upgrades to the driver’s license system.”
The release also says “all offices in the central region will close July 22nd including MHP Districts 1, 5 and 6. All offices in the northern region will close August 12th including MHP Districts 2, 3 and 4. All offices in the southern region will close August 19th including MHP Districts 7, 8 and 9.
