Ms. Bernice Puckett, 62, of Taylorsville, MS went home to be with the Lord January 08, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.

Ms. Puckett was of the Pentecostal Apostolic faith. She was a member of Promise Land Apostolic Church in Taylorsville.

Ms. Puckett was disabled, so she spent her time with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and talking with family over coffee.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee and on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 9:00am until 2:00pm at Promise Land Apostolic Church in Taylorsville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00pm at Promise Land Apostolic Church in Taylorsville. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements (601) 849-5031.

Ms. Bernice is preceded in death by her father, Roger Thompson; her mother, Ruth Thompson Ainsworth; her step-father, Gerald Ainsworth; brother, Wayne Thompson and a very close friend Charles Dunnaway.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Wiley Puckett of Mendenhall; her son, Scotty McMahan of Taylorsville; her daughter, Pamela Smith (Ike) of Bassfield; her daughter, Angela Compeseco (Marine) of McComb; her sister, Nancy Gentry of Mt. Olive; her sister, Patsy Lowery (Benny) of Mt. Olive; her brother, Rocky Thompson of Mt. Olive. She has 5 grandchildren, Kayla McMahan, Jaxon Mullins, Kaitlyn Mullins, Cayden Compeseco and Michael Briley-Kade Smith; one uncle, Paul Thompson of Pelahatchie; one aunt, Christine Blackwell of Taylorsville; the father of her children, Gary McMahan of Hattiesburg and a host of nieces and nephews.
