Megan and Michael “pulled it off”…yes, the couple had sent invitations for what we all assumed was an engagement announcement party….but “oh what a night”…after arriving at the bride’s home…in the middle of a monsoon…the crowd gathered under two huge tents…chandelier and all!!! …wonderful food…fabulous band…and then who appears on the stage but the “daddy,” Dr. Jimmy Stuard! Jimmy gets right up on that stage…takes that mike…and proceeds to announce that this is not an engagement announcement party…but a celebration of the marriage that took place Saturday morning at the First Baptist Church 2nd floor Family Life Center in front of the gorgeous stained glass windows!!!

We were being introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Thornton! As you can imagine, the crowd went wild!

Honestly, I have attend many receptions, many parties, and many weddings…but this event was one of the neatest I have ever witnessed!   It was so much fun watching everyone’s faces…the love and laughter that filled the tent! Megan and Michael did not allow the rain to mess up their big night!
