In May 2016, Mrs. Barbara Fuller made the decision to retire from her years of teaching.  The decision was not an easy one for her and surely not one the administration of Simpson Academy wanted to hear!

Barbara taught for forty-four years!  Forty of the years were teaching English and Senior Projects at SCA.  She taught four years at Pinola.

Mrs. Fuller has taught Senior English to almost every student who has graduated from SCA.  She has been some students worse nightmare…as they strive for “the perfect paper”…she has been the star for many students because she led them down a path that prepared them for college…and even  life.

As a mother, I was blessed to have Mrs. Fuller teach all three of my sons…and that was not an easy task for Mrs. Fuller or any teacher!  She pushed them to the limit…and that is what a child needs.

Mrs. Fuller has touched the lives of an untold number of students….she loved them all in her own way.

The Administration and Board of Simpson Academy has honored Barbara Fuller by naming the high school buildings in her honor.

Congratulations, Barbara Fuller…and well done SCA in showing appreciation to such a deserving lady.

Loved Mrs. Fuller. She was tough, but taught you what you needed to know. She was also very compassionate with her students. She will be missed.
