At the Tuesday night, June 21, 2022, City of Magee Board of Aldermen meeting, the board voted to close an ally located at Block 12 in the Everett subdivision.

The City voted to rent the building at 114 Choctaw SE (old old police station and old old fire department) to Stanley Graves Plumbing for $400 per month.

The board approved the selling of alcohol on Sundays at approved restaurants.

46 Teams are expected at the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex this weekend (June 24-27) for the Girl’s State Softball tournament.

Jimmy Zilla , Parks and Rec, reported the pending purchase of a new ice machine.  The machine is needed at the 2nd building  at the Sportsplex.

A new AC is needed for the Michael Dunn building at the Sportsplex.  Jimmy Zilla presented a plan which was approved.

Jimmy Zilla announced that City Allstar teams will begin play Friday, June 24th.  All ages are playing in different areas on the MS Gulf Coast.

According to Brett Duncan of Prince CPA, the fuel cost has risen 200% with a 15-20% increase to provide city services.
