Crazy Day…40 years later…is still fun!  I hate to admit…not really…but I attended the first Crazy Day and worked hard with my parents as we prepared for the first ever Crazy festival in Magee.  The brain-child of Buddy and Mary Joyce Walters, Crazy Day has continued to grow and change.  When Crazy Day began, the idea was to have a great day for all the local merchants to “put on the sales” for back-to-school…but as vendors were brought into the mix…and the heat became a factor…changes were made.

This year the Magee Courier sponsored a Friday night dance on Main Street between the Courier building and PriorityOne buildings.  The concert and food was free…the night was beautiful…and the music was great!  We didn’t have the crowd we had hoped for, but the ones in attendance had a good time.  I hope this event is one that will continue every  year…a great way to began the weekend!

TommyTawesiaGoodTommy and Tawesia Meador enjoyed the Friday night music!
