Mitchell Edwin Sullivan
(November 21, 1946 – September 4, 2022)

            Mitchell Edwin Sullivan, 75 of Mize, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, November 21, 1946, in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

            Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 113 Front Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi.

            Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 07, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize, Mississippi. Bro. Malcolm Byrd, Bro. Jay Wesbrooks, and Bro. Todd Richardson will officiate. Special music will be performed by Mr. Steve Sullivan, Mr. Christopher Walters, Mr. Reggie Kennedy, and Mrs. Pam Pruitt.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

            Mr. Mitchell was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Mize, Mississippi.  He was devoted to his church in serving as a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time in the outdoors, and most of all spending time with his only grandson.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Sullivan; mother, Bobbie Lee Cole Sullivan; and brothers, Michael Wayne Sullivan and Mark Sullivan.

            Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Judy Brewer Sullivan of Mize, MS; two sons, Todd Sullivan of Allen, TX, and Tracy Sullivan of Allen, TX; one grandson, Andrew Sullivan of Allen, TX; three sisters, Shirley Sullivan Moran (Tommy) of Taylorsville, MS, Maxine Sullivan Dyess (Jimmy) of Louin, MS, and Brenda Sullivan Cockrell (Dale) of Magee, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

            Pallbearers will be Tommy Miller, Reggie Kennedy, Tony Hadley, Kevin Amason, Trevor Amason, and Charlie McAlpin.

            Honorary pallbearers will be John Raymond Tullos, Harold Easterling, Robin McCoy, Tommy Smith, Larry Runnels, Joe Stedman, and Trenton Amason.

            In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ALS Association, “donate.als.org/mitchellsullivan”.
