Mississippi Watermelon Queen Miley Luper and Teen Queen Jena Lowery are working hard to promote the upcoming 46th Annual Mississippi Watermelon Festival, which will be held in Mize on July 19 and 20, 2024.

The events begin Friday at 7:00 with the annual 5K run/walk.

Saturday morning kicks off bright and early with a car, truck and bike show from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Music and entertainment for this year’s festival feature headliner Josh Gracin on Saturday, July 20 at 8:00 p.m. Karly Nichols, Madelyn Teague, and 18Miles will also perform on Saturday.

Mike Cockrell from Discovery Channel’s hit show Moonshiners will be at the 2024 MS Watermelon Festival on Friday and Saturday. Mike is proud to call Mize his hometown and loves coming home to support the Volunteer Fire Department and see all his friends and fans.

Forged in Fire Champion Luckey Town Customs will also be at the Festival.

New this year, attendees can purchase a 2-day pass for $20.00. It can be purchased at the gate on Friday.

On Friday, the gates will open at 3:30 p.m, and cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.

On Saturday, the gates will open at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.

All proceeds go to the Mize Volunteer Fire Department.
