 Roadeo held in Starkville 

JACKSON, MISS. –  The Mississippi Public Transit Association (MPTA) held its annual Roadeo in Starkville the weekend of April 22. Over 100 public transit workers from across the state of Mississippi took part in driving and skills competitions.

The event focuses on driver abilities, with a primary focus on safe operations and passenger sensitivity. Participants used seven passenger buses and 15 passenger vans to complete several obstacle courses and were judged on their proficiency. The top three drivers in the van and bus categories will represent Mississippi in the National Community Transportation Association of America Roadeo being held May 20-21 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
