The contestants placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd were awarded cash prizes by the Mississippi Poultry Association in amounts of $75.00, $50.00 and $25.00 respectively, and all contestants received an omelet toolkit, that included an apron, omelet pan, whisk and spatula.

Fourteen contestants from around the state competed in the omelet cookoff, presenting their entry to a panel of judges within 60 minutes. Also competing were Brody Walsh of Amite County; Brieleigh Willers and Lily Claire Willers, both from Winston County; Dalton Buchanan and Kayleigh Vanek of Rankin County; Lilyann White, Caroline Pannell, and Vivian Baird of Sunflower County; and Ethan McCreary and Grace Grooms of Lee County.
