Jackson, Miss.— Today, Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann launched Mississippi BOSS: Business One Stop Shop www.ms.gov/sos/onestopshop, a tool which will help prospective business owners start their business in Mississippi.

Mississippi Boss gives the users the ability to answer five (5) simple questions about their business including:
1. Do you want to form a new Mississippi company or register your existing foreign company?
2. What will the structure of your business be?
3. What city will you be operating in?
4. Have you secured a Federal Employee Tax ID (EIN)?
5. Will you have employees?

Based on the users answers, Mississippi BOSS discusses the best structure for the business and creates a list of what the user will need to provide to the State, county and city government. This information allows domestic and foreign business owners to quickly find the information needed to register and operate their business in Mississippi.

Like Y’all Business (www.YallBusiness.sos.ms.gov), Mississippi BOSS is another positive step toward promoting job creation and economic development in the State. “We want businesses to come to Mississippi and stay in Mississippi,” says Secretary Hosemann. “More businesses mean more jobs. Mississippi Boss facilitates that goal.”

For more information on Mississippi BOSS, visit the website at www.ms.gov/sos/onestopshop. The Secretary of State’s Office encourages the public to provide feedback and suggestions on information they would like to see included on the site by emailing business@sos.ms.gov.
