According to Simpson County Sheriff Kenneth Lewis, on March 18, 2015, Simpson County investigators received information and developed leads in reference to missing juvenile Haley Marie Rankin.Through further investigation, it was determined that Rankin was possibly in the Morton area with a male suspect. Simpson County investigators contacted Scott County Sheriff’s Office and Morton Police Department. It was determined that the suspect also had warrants through Morton Police Department. With the assistance of Morton Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Simpson County Investigators went to the home of the suspect. While at the residence, Haley Marie Rankin was located. Sheriff Lewis reported that the suspect and his mother were then arrested by Morton Police Department.
Names and charges have been withheld at this time due to pending investigation by the Morton Police Department
