Miss University of Southern Mississippi Makes Book Donation to Local Shelter

hannahroberts2Hannah Roberts, the reigning Miss University of Southern Mississippi, took time out of her hectic schedule to donate approximately 1,000 books to the Fieldhouse for the Homeless on Tuesday, May 19 as part of her “Pages of Love” program.

Located on US 49 South in Hattiesburg, the Fieldhouse for the Homeless provides a safe haven from the danger, uncertainty, and indignity of living on the streets. Its mission is to provide barrier-free services to empower those who find themselves in a desperate situation. The Fieldhouse has become a hub for the homeless in the Hattiesburg/Pine Belt area.
