Julieanna Jackson, daughter of Danny and Tori Jackson of Mize, wears the title of Miss Mississippi Teen USA! Julieanna visited MageeNews.com for a “sit down and personal” interview. I’m just saying, this girl is gorgeous…and brilliant! She is the first 14 year old to ever be chosen as Miss Mississippi Teen USA. The age for contestants in this pageant are 14-19…she beat the all! Julieanna is an active member of Calvary Presbyterian Church where she volunteers with Vacation Bible School.

Monday, February 19th, Julieanna turned 15 and got her driver’s permit this week!

Julieanna participates in the Abeka Homeschool Academy. The advantage of homeschooling has given Julienna the time to see the world and explore the world.

Books seem to be her passion! She describes herself as a reluctant reader who became a “I can’t get enough” reader. Julieanna has donated books to schools in all 50 states. She is Mississippi Ambassador for RIF (Reading is Fundamental). Julieanna has logged over 200 hours as reading mentor. She has been recognized by the National Education Association. In fact, she will be glad to come to your school and read to the children. She dresses in costume! (Give her a call)

Julieanna is all about helping others! She raised $5,000 for the first World Championship Therapeutic Riding Class for Children with Special Needs. She collected and donated over 1,000 pounds of basic living necessities to women’s shelters and VA homes.

Julieanna is an entrepreneur! She co-owns and created the online boutique, PolkDot Pineapple. She created and is the Webmaster for www.JulieannasMatchbook.com which is a website that pairs person and book! The site is really neat. You need to check it out and see what books are perfect for your student.

Prior to emceeing the 2018 Miss Mississippi Amazing Pageant, she served as a “buddy” for special needs contestants .

This girl is the real meal deal!!! I could go on and on about her accomplishments! I feel we will be seeing the name “Julieanna Jackson” for years!

Julieanna’s next step is to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA this summer.

Sue Note:  I wrote this article but attaching the video is challenging for me—so Patrice helped me—and that is why the post  says “posted by Patrice Boykin”…one day I will learn it all! (ha)
