A lot of work has gone into the restoring of Ural Everett Park on Main Street Magee.  The park is the site of the old movie theatre that Mrs. Ural ran for years.  The park has become a favorite place for making pictures.  (I always love seeing the prom, senior casual, and family pictures made in the park)

Keep Magee Beautiful, an organization of volunteers, has spent many a work day in the park.  New light fixtures, trimmed shrubs, decorated trees, cleaned flower beds etc have enhanced the park.

Homeless sleeping in the park is a problem.  Meeting of girls and guys in the parks is a problem.  Tearing down the lights and busting bulbs is a problem.  Stealing is a problem.

We need your help!  Please if you are ridding down Main Street check out the park.  If you have time, ride through the alleyway.  The police feel most people are entering through the back doors.

The back doors will soon be closed and cameras will be in place for additional security.

Dot Nichols, a member of Keep Magee Beautiful, called me earlier in the week to check out what had taken place in the park.

Check out the video for the scoop.

Help us!!! We need everyone’s “eyes” on the Park.
