Dana Carrico, teacher at Simpson Academy, received great new this morning! The doctors told Dana Friday morning that the area on her lungs was not cancer but an infection! Dana questioned the doctors several times but they assured her no cancer. She will receive treatment for the infection.
Dana is married to Christian Carrico and the mother to Shelby, who is a student at Ole Miss, and Cooper, who is a student at Simpson Academy. She is the daughter of Dorris Tullos.
Dana is at MD Anderson concerning spots on her lungs. Dana’s cancer started in her arm. Following surgery, the doctors thought they got all the cancer. A PET scan was done in April showing there was a mass or spot on her lungs. The Carrico family made the decision to seek medical advise at MD Anderson where they have been for the last week.
The news the family and friends received this morning is truly an answered prayer.
Continue to remember the family in prayer as they travel back from Houston and decisions on follow up treatment.
To God be the Glory!
