Brenda Minter was selected as Teacher of the Year at Magee High School where she serves as Librarian and co-sponsors to the Student Council and the Book Club. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has been involved in teaching and education for over twenty-five years, teaching from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. She has taught in Louisiana, South and North Carolina, and Alabama.
Brenda is married to Steve Minter, formerly of Collins, and they have two children and three grandchildren. Having grown up in Mize, she is glad to be “back home” and a part of the faculty at Magee High School now.
