Minnie Shows Todd passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence. She was born on February 8, 1943 to her parents, the late Dewitt Shows and Velma Dollar in Collins, Mississippi.
She is survived by sons, John Simmons, Maurice Simmons (Kim); daughters, Kay Freeman (Billy Wayne), Sonya Melvin; brothers, Millard Shows (Linda); sister, Mary Throneberry , Sarah N. Hankins (Bowers, Jr.); six grandchildren, David McLain (Miranda), Justin McLain (Ali), Brad Freeman (Jana), Cory Freeman (Wendy), Jonathon Core, Kris Hudson (Tim) and eleven great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Gerome Shows, James Shows; sisters, Nancy King, Joyce Roberts, Ann Lou Jordan and Margaret Shows.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday , June 16, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Services will be Wednesday, June 17, at 11:00 am, Tutor Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Old Good Hope Cemetery, Highway 541, Mendenhall, MS.
