Michael “Dodaddy” Middleton was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising rabbit dogs. He loved spending time in the garden and always raised enough peas and okra to feed an army. Sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family always brought a smile to his face. Dodaddy always had a story to tell and plenty of advice to give. His willingness to help his neighbors, family, and friends was remarkable. His greatest joy of all, was his grandchildren. He spent countless hours attending ballgames, delivering backpacks or forgotten pompoms, and doing whatever they needed him to do. He shared a special bond with his autistic grandchild Colby, and spent many hours riding him around on the buggy at the deer camp. All who knew him, loved him dearly. Dodaddy will be sadly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Middleton and Erline Layton Middleton; and one brother, Eddie Middleton.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Kathy Ingram Middleton; one son, Lance Middleton and wife, Pamela of Ocean Springs; one daughter, Lacey Hutchinson and husband, Teddy of Mize; four grandchildren, Hunter Middleton and wife, Jenna of Mendenhall, Hannah Little and husband, Drew of Bay Springs, Summer Austin and husband, Landon of Mize, and Colby Hutchinson of Mize; three great-grandchildren, Paisley and Walton Little and Rowdey Middleton; one brother, Herman Middleton and wife Elaine of Baker, LA; one sister, Becky Butler and husband, Garry of Houma, LA; a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corey Cole, Drew Collins, Wesley Garner, Bobby Miller, B.J. Wheat, and Jason Wood.
