Magee High School will celebrate its Homecoming Friday, September 23, 2022, on Trojan Field during half-time. Homecoming festivities will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday night with the presentation of the Homecoming Court and the crowning of the Queen. The football game begins at 7:30 p.m. vs Yazoo City. This year’s theme is “WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER.” The maids will be showcasing the colors of red, gray, gold, and black to represent the school colors of Magee and Mendenhall.

Football Maids are Mylah Davis, daughter of Brittany Davis and the late Willie Davis Jr., and Kymiah McCann, the daughter of Devionne and Kimberly McCann. Miss Davis will be escorted by Karell Dampeer. Miss McCann will be escorted by her father, Devionne McCann.

Senior Maids are Asonti Bateaste and Edmya Turner. Asonti Bateaste is the daughter of Kasheda Barnes and Ken Bateaste. Edmya Turner is the daughter of Tomeka Turner and Donny Anderson.  Miss Bateaste will be escorted by her father Ken Bateaste and Miss Turner will be escorted by Carlton Anderson.

Junior Maids are Kaitlyn Hayes, the daughter of Brian and Jessica Hayes, and Kierah Robinson, daughter of Alexis and Terrence Robinson. Miss Hayes will be escorted by her father Brian Hayes. Ms. Robinson will be escorted by her father Terrence Robinson.

Sophomore Maids are Armyah Williamson, daughter of David and Satoya Williamson and Makinnley Williamson, daughter of Jeremy Williamson and Lacourtney Smith. Miss Armyah Williamson will be escorted by her father David Williamson. Miss Makinnley Williamson will be escorted by her father Jeremy Williamson.

Freshmen Maids are Kiya Durr, daughter of Sedrick and Keysha Durr, and Illeana Dillion, daughter of Chiavola Huff and the late James Dillon. Miss Durr will be escorted by her father Sedrick Durr and Miss Dillion by her uncle John Easterling.

 

The name of the Queen will not be revealed until the crowning Friday night. One of the Senior maids will be selected by the student body to be crowned. The 2021 Homecoming Queen, Alyssa Payne, daughter of Gerald Payne and Deidra Floyd, will crown the new queen. Simpson County School District Superintendent Dr. Toriano Holloway will be escorting Miss Payne.
