Magee High School held Seniors awards day Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Magee High School Auditorium. All seniors were recognized and awarded Bibles from the local Gideons.

Highest and most prestigious awards were given. Seniors receiving Hall of Fame honors were: Josie Russell, Cynahmon Lee, Soumya Middleton, josh Fairchild, Timon Kennedy. 

Trojan Award was given to Javo Thurman and Principal award was Hannah Newsome. (not pictured)

Valedictorian for the Class of 2019 is Josie Russell, Salutatorian Cynahmon Lee, and Soumya Middleton received Historian. 

Subject awards are as follow:Chemistry-Brayden Lambert Environmental Science-Maci Scoggins Advance Math Plus-Cynhamon Lee English IV-Anthony Edwards General Music-Laylia Bridges International Business-Michael Griffith SREB Essentials for Math-Hang Tran Art II-Soumya Middleton SREB Math Ready-Michael Griffith SREB Essentials for Literacy-Alexi Perry SREB Literacy Ready-Hang Tran U.S. Government-Ashley Knight Economics-Maleah McCulloch.

Students that completed the Mississippi Scholars Program were awarded certificates and medallions.Josie Russell, Cynahmon Lee, Soumya Middleton, Timon Kennedy, Preston Ivy, Brayden Lambert, Carolyn Robertson, Laylia Bridges, Maleah McCulloch and Adelle Sullivan.

Citizenship Award was given to Seniors Soumya Middleton and Timon Kennedy. Cynahmon Lee received Overall Citizenship.

Ashleigh Russell and Brayden Lambert received the FJ Dickey Scholarship. Highest Honors: Josie Russell, Cynahmon Lee, Soumya Middleton, Timon Kennedy, Preston Ivy, Brayden Lambert, Carolyn Robertson, Laylia Bridges, Maleah McCulloch and Adelle Sullivan.

Numerous scholarships were given from several Community Colleges and Universities.

Seniors received stoles and chords for honors, clubs, honor societies, and for giving blood.
