The Magee Trojan Basketball team made a little bit of history on last Friday night by winning the Region 6 3-A Basketball Tournament. The win claimed the school’s first district title since 1991. The team also claimed a first round playoff win on Tuesday by defeating West Marion 58-50. The Trojans will look to extend their 7-game win streak and playoff run as they take on Hazlehurst this Saturday at 6:00. The two teams played earlier in the season in a game that was suspended due to a slippery playing surface. The Trojans held on to a slim lead at the time that the game was called.

Team members include Jeremiah Cole, J’Kwon Gregory, Gavin Drones, Ken’Darius McInnis, Darion Woods, Demarcus Johnson, DQ Levy, Kevarian Benson, Jor’dyn Payne, Kendal Middleton, Juan Griffith, Quaylin Berkhalter, Zykerian Magee, Dylan Harper, and Amar Harper.
The team is coached by Head Coach Jarrod Milloy and Assistant Coach Matthew Dickinson. Bernard Mitchell is the Team Chaplain.
