Magee High School will be hosting a community blood drive with Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) on Wednesday, November 16, from 8:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.The MBS Blood Donor Coach will be at the school. All donors will receive a T-shirt. Donors can check their total cholesterol on their MBSConnect Account.
“A unit of blood may not seem like much to a healthy person, ” Susan Ates, MBS public relations specialist, said. “But the effects of saving a life are far reaching. It’s not just the patient, but his or her family, friend, and community that are impacted.”
Donating blood is safe, simple and it saves lives. Donors must be at least 18 years old (16 and 17 year old with signed parental consent, visit our Web site for a copy of the form), weigh at least 110 pounds, and have a valid ID.
Visit msblood.com or call (888) 90-BLOOD (902-5663) for information. You can also visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/give2live and follow MSbloodservices on Twitter. #Give1Save3.
