Fatal crash in Hinds County.
Just after 5:40 p.m., MHP was advised of a two vehicle crash in Hinds County north of Old Highway 3.
Preliminary reports indicate that a blue 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by Grant Nations , 32, of Brookhaven was traveling north on HWY-27 when he made an attempt to pass a vehicle that was traveling north and making a right turn onto HWY 3. The blue 2014 Toyota collided with a black 2002 Ford F-350 in the southbound lane on HWY-27. Mr. Nations suffered fatal injuries and died as a result of this crash. Mr. Nation was the only occupant in the vehicle. This crash is currently under investigation and more information will be released pending the outcome of this investigation.
