Magee General Hospital opened the doors to the new Emergency Room on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
The ER is now located in the former Labor & Delivery area of the hospital.
Cindy McIntyre, RN, is the Director of Emergency Services. Cindy stated, the transition has been a smooth one with the excellent team work of many employees.” The trauma and exam rooms are much larger to accommodate patients. The overall space in the department provides more room to administer the services needed and allow opportunities for future expansion.
Health Trust donated a work of art by Magee artist Amber Corley Wilks. Slover Dental Clinic, Rusty and Beverly Slover, and Dr. Frank Wade donated art.
