Christmas is in full swing here in Magee, and the most festive spot is right outside of Downtown Magee on 541 North. For the past 20 years, the Maddox’s show up and show out with their beautiful Christmas light show and has become a Christmas staple here in Magee.
Anyone who has met the Maddox’s knows they are full of love and joy, and it shows in their beautiful home and Christmas lights.
Lee Maddox said when he was a young boy, he and his family would look at Christmas lights every year, and he knew when he grew up he wanted to do that for his family and many other families. Seeing their Christmas lights are now part of many other family’s Christmas traditions, young Lee would be jumping with joy!
Gather your friends and family and come out and enjoy Maddox’s lights, all from the safety and warmth of your own vehicle! Thank you so much, Lee, Kim, and Emelia Maddox, for opening up your home for everyone to be able to enjoy the Christmas magic.

My mother is the late Nancy Turner Burnham. George Turner was her daddy. I have a precious photo of mama my son and niece at the Maddox’s Christmas manger. It was her last Christmas and she wanted to take her babies . I’ve always been grateful for the memory and this photo. Thank You Maddox Family.
Just seeing this. Glad for the memory. I remember your grandparents- they were great people. My grandparents always thought a lot of them.
My kids enjoy this so much every year!!! Thank you Maddox family for sharing your Christmas spirit with us!!!
I wondered what you were going to do with all those Christmas trees you came home with one day when you were living at my home in Brookhaven. I’m so glad you have put them to good use! Hope you and Kim and Amelia have a wonderful Christmas.
