The MSM Sale held Friday, October 16th at the home of Sue Honea to benefit the ladies of Kenya was a huge success and lots of fun.   I’m Just Saying, the event was fun!

The items, Director Charlie White had received from the ladies, were beautiful. We kept saying, “how did they make that!” These ladies made every item. I am amazed at their talent.

Merchantship Ministries is an organization dedicated to helping the ladies of Africa market the items they make. “We have supported the group for several years by providing opportunities for the ladies to learn skills and develop their skills,” explained Charlie. “When I lived in Africa following college, I was amazed at the ability of ladies to make something out of almost nothing….from plastic bags, to animal parts, to cloth. God laid a burden on my heart to never forget these ladies and help them in anyway I could,” continued Charlie.

Charlie makes several trips to Africa a year to meet at the center and visit with the ladies employed to oversee the operation.

I told Charlie God did not want me to go to Africa, but I did believe there was something I could do to help while staying in Magee, MS! MageeNews.com sponsors the event along with the Ollie Mayhall BYW of the First Baptist Church of Magee providing lunch. I host the event on the porches of my home.

The beautiful weather and items plus delicious food made the shopping experience a fun event.

Charlie will display the items at anyone’s church or business…just let her know. (Sue@mageenews.com)

We are proud to announce that this year’s sale made over $1,000 …a huge amount for our group!

Thank you to the shoppers and helpers! God has richly blessed Merchantship Ministries.
