Mendenhall Jr. High honored our local veterans at the Veteran’s Day Program on Thursday, November 10th. Veterans were recognized with a standing ovation as they entered the gym. The program began with prayer and then everyone took part in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. The MJH band played patriotic songs throughout the program including The Star Spangled Banner, Battle Hymn of the Republic, America, the Beautiful, and God Bless America.
Guests speakers were Mr. Troy Durr, Mr. Micheal Hayes, and Mr. Doug Feazell. All three men gave inspiring speeches about being proud of our country and making the right choices. The MJH Student Council gave each veteran a gift to show our gratitude for their service. After the program, veterans were treated to a reception in the library. The Veteran’s Day program was sponsored by the Mendenhall Jr. High Student Council.
