Mendenhall High School has announced the following students as Top of the Class for 2022.
Valedictorian Raegan Bramlett – Raegan is from New Hebron, Mississippi. Raegan attend Mendenhall High School, and is dually enrolled at Copiah Lincoln Community College. I currently serve as President of HOSA, FCCLA, and Mu Alpha Theta. Raegan is also the 12th grade representative for Beta Club. She is/has been involved in other organizations, such as Student Council, DECA, National Honors Society and more. Outside of school I am the Bible Bowl Team Captain, and some of my favorite things to do are cooking and shopping. I have taken over 60 hours at Colin, and will be graduating with an Associate’s degree in May 2022. After graduating high school, I plan to attend Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana and major in Accounting. I then plan to start a business that not only benefits myself, but that also helps others.
Salutatorian Harleigh Abernathy. Harleigh is the daughter of Dwayne and Jennifer Abernathy of Mendenhall, Mississippi. She has one brother, Nathan, and one sister, Meghan. Harleigh is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, BETA, FBLA, FFA, and FCCLA. I am the Class of 2022’s Star Student. My current plan after high school is to major in computer science at Jones County Junior College for two years, then transfer to The University of Southern Mississippi where I will get my master’s degree.
Historian Nigel A Ceaser. Nigel was born in Lyons, Kansas and moved to Mississippi when he began school. Nigel may not be from Mendenhall, but it will always be his hometown. He is committed to Alcorn State University, although with no set major in mind. Nigel’s goal, however, is to use whatever education he can pursue to help others. His family has always made serving others a big deal in thier ministry, and he does not plan on changing that anytime soon.
