Mendenhall High School Class of 2016 Salutatorian is Tara Weathersby.
Tara is the daughter of Steve and Sandra Weathersby. Tara is graduating with High Honors and a GPA of 4.0 and ACT score of 28.
Tara is a member of Tiger Band, where she has received several awards over the years.
Weathersby is a member of the Beta Club, Book Club, 25+ACT Club, Jazz Band and Brass Quintet.
Tara was a Superintendent Scholars all four years of high school and was awarded a band Scholarship, Academic ACT Scholarship and VFW Women’s Auxiliary Art Contest Scholarship.
Tara hobbies are playing musical instruments, singing, drawing, painting, and reading literature.
Her future plans are to attend Mississippi State Univeristy and pursue a degree in Music Education and minor in voice. Shel hopes one day to return to her Alma Mater and serve as a Band Director.
